Life Hacks Germany

Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal data Life Hacks Germany processes in its current launch state.

Life Hacks Germany is an editorial content website. We do not offer user accounts, checkout, or public comments on the live site at this time.

Controller and contact

Controller: Aeon GbR, Bruennleinsweg 126, 90768 Fuerth, Germany. Email: golifehacks@gmx.de.

Technical server and hosting data

When you visit the site, our hosting and delivery infrastructure necessarily processes technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, status code, and user-agent information.

We use this data to deliver the site securely, defend against abuse, and troubleshoot incidents. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Local settings stored on your device

We store your theme preference in localStorage (`lhg-theme`) so the site can remember light or dark mode.

We also store your analytics preference in localStorage (`lhg-cookie-consent-v1`) and in a cookie (`lhg_cookie_consent`) so we can remember whether optional analytics may load. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for preference persistence and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where the consent choice controls optional analytics.

Optional analytics

We do not currently load any optional analytics tool on the live site. If this changes, this policy will be updated before rollout.

Email contact and newsletter status

If you email us directly, we process your email address and the contents of your message in order to respond. Legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a pre-contractual matter.

A public newsletter signup is not currently enabled on the live site. If we launch it later, this policy will be updated before public rollout.

Retention periods

We keep technical logs only as long as needed for security and operations. Stored device preferences remain until you clear them or overwrite them. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up obligations.

External links

Many pages link to official German authorities and third-party services. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of the external provider applies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you generally have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, where applicable.

If you want to exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact us at golifehacks@gmx.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

  • Deletion where retention is no longer required
